Sweeping
by Nita Whitaker LaFontaine I swept. It was a bright January day after the New Year turned---the quiet beginning of a new decade in a sunny 68 degrees. Here I was doing poop duty. I was picking up the droppings here and there of our four dogs; not my favorite thing to do, yet necessary. That led to the beginning of sweeping.
