A Sparkling Time

This past weekend was quite incredible! My best friend, my mom, and aunt all packed up for a four hour drive to Ft. Lauderdale for The Inspired Women’s Conference.

The Master’s Jewels Conference (MJC) in Review

Dear Inspired Women,

Without a doubt, the MJC held on July 24th and 25th at the Westin Hotel in Ft Lauderdale, Florida was a resounding success! And the location—beachfront, now how awesome is that. For those of you that attended, you know exactly what I mean. Now, for those unable to attend, here are some conference bites.

The three speakers: Eida Diego, Bishop Jousette Anaya, and Simon T. Bailey were used of God throughout the course of the conference in a relevant and significant way. Each attendee, I can confidently say, was touched by the Holy Spirit in a very personal manner. There were times when testimonies told did not leave a dry eye in the room and at other times joy and laughter left no room for tears.

During lunch, which by the way was delectable, there were many precious and beautiful giveaways. And as we all know to a beginning there is most likely an end and it came too soon. Nevertheless, the culminating moment came by way of a coronation. Each Master’s Jewel was symbolically and solemnly crowned with a beautiful tiara. But not before taking a look and feel of an actual crown of thorns similar to the one The Master wore, so that we could one day be crowned by Him personally. This was truly a defining time for many there.

So be inspired and get the tapes of this conference soon to be available and whatever you do, do not miss the next one. Our God is on the move doing great things and these conferences are one of those vehicles He is using to WOW his people.

The dust from the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition construction of Akers Angels’ new home had settled, but the buzz surrounding the show being in our area for the demolition of the old house, the building of the new one and the dramatic homecoming reveal still filled the air of the community, the media and cyberspace. Two of the children have spinal muscular atrophy, a disease that robs them of mobility. Both use wheelchairs that restricted their movement around the old space-challenged split-level. The third child suffers from Crohn’s disease. Thanks to the show’s divine intervention, the house that imprisoned the children is a thing of the past. The Gifts That Keep Giving

Being a mother is the most precious gift that the Lord has ever blessed me with. My life has taken on a new purpose since my daughter arrived. As a godly parent we have an awesome responsibility to instill God’s principals in our home and to provide a spiritual foundation that will prepare our children for the battles they will face in a world that doesn’t revere the teachings of Jesus. It is imperative that we teach our children to follow the path that honors God. There are gifts that parents can give their children along their journey to adulthood that will enable them to grow stronger in Christ. Read more
