2010—A Year to Rise to New Levels of Faith

by Rebecca Greenwood

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. I love this promise from Hebrews 11:1. It tells us that even when we do not know and see all the things that have been promised to us—when we have prayed for years for a specific breakthrough and it has not yet come, when circumstances in our lives are going the exact opposite direction they should be, when people let us down or betray us, when we are being pressed through financially difficult times—we can put our hope and trust in the Lord and expect that He is going to prove Himself faithful on our behalf. Be Filled to the Fullest

by Adriana Zamot

“to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God”. Ephesians 3:19 NKJV

Recently during my prayer time, I was asking the Lord for a fresh word and revelation. I opened up the Bible to the verse above. I have read it before but this time it just seemed to have a more profound meaning for me. I kept thinking about knowing and understanding the fullness of God. I looked up the word fullness and it means: completeness, rich and pleasing, filled to capacity, overabundance, excess, the state of being more than full, greatness of volume, bigness, having everything that is needed. Other words associated with fullness were wealth, totality, wholeness, broadness, extensiveness. Wow, I want the fullness of God! I want His wealth, totality, wholeness, broadness, extensiveness in Him. Read more

Embrace 2010

by Alyssa Carmona

I thought this month I’d keep it short and sweet and straight to the point. That point is for everyone to focus on a fresh start and a new beginning. I would like to share a word that my brother gave me for my senior page ad in my year book.

He wrote the following, “Embrace life and be grateful for the little things that God has placed before you, don’t wait to be thankful for something that’s already been lost.”

So I say to you, this is a chance to make better decisions and to move on from our pasts. So, instead of a new year’s resolution, I challenge everyone to follow these words and embrace life, embrace 2010!

Cree a Dios!

“Y creyó a Jehová, y le fue contado por justicia”. Génesis 15:6

Personalmente este versículo me fascina. De manera corta dice y resume una cualidad hermosa de Abraham. Escogió creer pese a que sus circunstancias eran contrarias a lo que Dios le prometía. Es que nuestro Dios hace cosas que parecen no tener sentido para nosotros, pero que realmente si lo tienen. Nosotros solo conocemos lo que está de frente, pero Jehová sabe lo que hay más allá. Can I Start Over…Again…in 2010?

by Laurette Willis, Director of PraiseMoves, LLC – www.PraiseMoves.com

“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” Isaiah 43:18–19.

The beginning of the year. A new year and a new start. Perhaps you’ve talked yourself into believing this month will be like last month, or this year will be like last year. Maybe you have heard whispers in your ear that the mistakes you’ve done before will be repeated again. Someone may have told you, as was once said to me, “a leopard never changes its spots.” Read more

Whose Plan?

by Karin Syren, Vision Coach

”My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all my good pleasure;”
“Truly I have spoken; trulyI will bring it to pass.
I have planned it, surely I will do it” — Isaiah 46:10b, 11b NASB

Not only does this month mark the beginning of a New Year, but the end of a decade, the first in a new century and a new millennium. Such momentous times would seem to require momentous plans. The question becomes, whose plan are you pursuing? In our Scripture verse, God is very clear that it is His purpose which will be established, His good pleasure accomplished. Purpose, in this verse, can also be translated as plan or design. Read more
