Yes ladies it’s that time of year again! It’s time for you to pull out those evening gowns and cocktail dresses for all of the holiday parties and social gathering that are swiftly coming your way. I am going to highlight 3 makeup looks that are great for this holiday season!
Our first look is Bronzique! This is for the ladies who prefer not to wear too much makeup, but have a desire to enhance their natural beauty during the holiday season.
Bronzique looks Best On:
Any complexion
What You Will Need:
¸ A light liquid foundation or tinted moisturizer
¸ Mascara
¸ Lip liner (that matches either your skin tone or your preferred lip lacquer)
¸ Your favorite lip gloss or lipstick
¸ Eyeliner
¸ Bronzer
DIRECTIONS
Step 1: Apply a thin layer of foundation to the problem areas of your face only and blend thoroughly.
Step 2: Dust bronzer across your eyelids and your cheeks.
Step 3: Line your bottom eyelid with a very thin line of black eyeliner.
Step 4: Generously apply mascara to your top and bottom lashes.
Step 5: Line your lips with lip liner.
Step 6: Apply your favorite lip gloss or lipstick.
Beauty Tip* Bronzer is a gals best kept secret. It will give you a sun kissed glow, and also give the illusion that you have flawless and well rested skin, and contrary to popular belief it is excellent for women of color!.
Our second look is Warm Spice. This look is perfect for those who like warm shades of earth tone colors, but want to add a little kick to them for the holidays.
Warm Spice Looks Best On:
Medium, Medium/Dark Complexions
What You Will Need:
¸ Foundation
¸ Mascara
¸ Black eyeliner
¸ Brown or chestnut lip liner
¸ A rich lipstick with orange, gold, and brown tones
¸ Clear lip gloss
¸ A golden orange spice shade of blush (bronzer will work nicely here as well)
¸ Shimmer eye shadows (choose colors such as the following)
o Brown/Bronze
o Gold
o Rust/ burnt orange
DIRECTIONS
Step 1: Apply an even layer of foundation to your face and blend thoroughly.
Step 2: Apply your gold shadow across the lower portion and up to the middle of your eye lid.
Step 3: Apply your orange/rust color shadow on top of the gold shadow.
Step 4: Apply your brown or bronze shadow in the outer corner of your lid and in the crease.
Step 5: Line your upper & lower eyelid with a black eyeliner.
Step 6: Apply a generous amount of mascara to your upper and lower lashes.
Step 6: Line your lips with a brown or chestnut lip liner.
Step 7: Apply your lipstick.
Step 8: Apply a clear lip gloss on top of your lipstick to give a luscious shine.
Step 9: Lightly dust your blush across your cheeks.
Our 3rd look is Perfectly Plum. This look is full of color and will give a beautiful burst of color to the skin.
Perfectly Plum Looks Best On:
Dark, Very Dark Complexions
What You Will Need:
¸ Foundation
¸ Mascara
¸ Black eyeliner
¸ A lip liner that will compliment whatever shade of lip lacquer you choose.
¸ A berry shade of lipstick or lip gloss
¸ A deep wine shade of blush
¸ Matte eye shadow shades:
o Very soft lavender
o Medium purple
o Burgundy
DIRECTIONS
Step 1: Apply an even layer of foundation to your face and blend thoroughly.
Step 2: Apply your purple shadow across the lower portion and up to the middle of your eye lid.
Step 3: Apply your burgundy shadow in the outer corner of your lid and blend it towards the purple shadow.
Step 4: Lightly apply your lavender shadow underneath your eyebrow (not too much).
Step 5: Line your upper & lower eyelids with black eyeliner.
Step 6: Apply a generous amount of mascara to your upper and lower lashes.
Step 6: Line your lips with lip liner.
Step 7: Apply your lipstick.
Step 8: Dust on your blush until you reach the desired color intensity on your cheeks.
