Finding No Way

But finding no way because of (the crowd)1they went up on the roof and lowered him, with his stretcher through the tiles into the midst, in front of Jesus. Luke 5:19 AMP
If you are anything like me, you have more than once come up against a brick wall, with no way through, over, around or under it. Giving up on a dream, a friendship, a marriage, even a child is never what we would willingly choose, but often seems to be the choice made for us. Finding no way, convinced it’s the end of the road, how many of us have simply given up and turned back? Sound familiar? But our Scripture says otherwise of this man’s friends. Read more
You Would Wait Too

She was anxious to get out of the car. After 20 minutes on the road, my four-year-old basset hound recognized the sitter’s house, and she was eager to greet him. As I parked the car, in the distance I noticed the neighbor’s high-strung dog – unleashed and ready to bolt toward us. I knew better than to take my Dudleigh out at that moment. She was still recovering from a pit bull attack the previous year. So I waited. Read more

Is it bad if you mix makeup brands during your application?
I personally mix brands often. You may like a foundation from one company, the shadows from another, and the blush and lipstick from yet another and you can use all of these companies during an application if it gives you your desired look. I would only say stay within a brand for skin care products because they are usually designed to be used and work together as a regiment…cleanser, toner, moisturizer etc… Read more

We all hit a “wall†at some point in life. The barrier appears to be insurmountable in our own strength. King David said this: “For by you I can run through a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall.†Psalms 18:29: He had faith to believe that God could conquer any barrier. Read more

I couldn’t be any happier–it’s finally summer time! Everything from the bright sun, birds chirping, warm weather and completely empty schedule just wins my heart over.
But the event I look forward to more than any other is Summer Camp. Every year no matter what’s going on, I pack up for a week and leave just about everything behind: my cell phone, computer, IPod, radio– all of it. I get on a bus with all of the youth from my church and for maybe the only week of the entire year my focus is generally fixated on God, nothing more. To be completely honest, being away from home has never felt so comforting.
Camp is always good to rejuvenate you; it’s almost like an energy drink. Camp gets you on fire for God. In fact, I’ve been thinking of maybe taking two or three days prior to camp to get prepared and excited for God. Why not get to camp completely ready for what He has to offer?
This means spending the extra time in our Bibles and praying a little more. So youth of today here is my challenge: turn off the TV, turn off your I-Pod, study your Bible instead and give God praise! Let’s rise up as a youth and prepare for what God has ordained for us, camp or no camp.
Spending that extra time with God is going to bless us in the most abundant way. Especially, as we do it together!

Read more
