My husband works for an inner city ministry that serves children and teens. Its mission is to break the cycle of poverty and despair one child at a time. Twelve years ago, my husband began working with an eight-year-old boy named Terrence. When he was a young boy, T’s friends and family called him Little T (This is also the nickname with which my husband and stepsons have dubbed me), but today he stands at about 6’5” and around 240 pounds, so he’s just T. And he’s a gentle giant. Not only in size but in spirit.
